Lick Stone Wild Herbs 3 kg
Mineral complementary feed for horses, cattle, alpacas, camels, sheep, goats, and game animalsSea salt lickstone with bitter and tanninsThe regular intake of bitter and tannic substances is often greatly underestimated in animal nutrition. Wild species instinctively ingest them to effectively support their intestinal flora (intestinal microbiome) and, thus, their immune system. The bile flow stimulated by bitter substances is essential for the proper absorption of nutrients, as the intestinal milieu is shifted into the alkaline range, and only in this way can the enzymatic breakdown and utilization of food succeed optimally.Bitter substances are also of particular importance with regard to uninvited intestinal inhabitants, however, as they strengthen the body's own defenses against parasites in the animal's intestine and can provide a temporary, worm-hostile intestinal environment. In addition, tannins support the protective layer in the intestine and also impede the adhesion and penetration of toxic irritants. But also metabolism-sensitive animals benefit from a well-established intestinal flora. Bitter substances keep digestion going and support liver function.Expert tip: If you should notice that the cdVet Lick Stone Wild Herbs is licked excessively, this may indicate an increased need for bitter and tannic substances. In those cases, we recommend that you cover the need with EquiGreen WK-Mix and privet WK-Mix, respectively.Composition: sea salt, pumpkin seeds, walnut leaves, male fern herb, sweet wormwood herb, dandelion root, wild garlic herb, corianderAnalytical constituents: sodium 38,0%, calcium 0.2%, magnesium 0.15%, phosphorus 0.15%

Singulares Elm Bark (European) 200 g
The elm bark is rich in nutrients, minerals and trace elements. Contained bitter and tannins stimulate intestinal peristalsis. The stomach, liver, gall bladder, pancreas and intestines multiply their digestive juices. The self-regulation of the gastrointestinal tract is positively influenced, and digestive complaints can be significantly reduced. A well-functioning digestive system can significantly promote an intact intestinal flora. We use European species for our Singulares Elm Bark (European), which are characterized in particular by the high content of tanning agents and less by the strong mucus formation attributed to the American/Canadian species. In phytotherapy, components containing tanning agents are always the first choice for indigestion associated with diarrhea. Mucous agents are completely unsuitable because, possibly, they may provide an even better breeding ground for the unwanted bacteria. Anaerobic germs, in particular, can reproduce even better under exclusion of oxygen under the mucus, while tannins deprive them of their of livelihood and also inhibit the absorption of toxins in the intestine.Products containing mucous agents can be used in retrospect to alleviate any irritation. Our recommendation cdVet Gastric Protection.
