These mucilages naturally increase the volume of the food, making them an excellent satiety supplement for dogs prone to obesity. Another positive effect is the increase in the volume of feces, which can be a support for recurring problems with the anal glands. Feeding recommendation: daily 1 g/10 kg body weight. 1 quarter tsp. corresponds to approx. ca. 0.9 g. Mix 1 part psyllium husks with at least 10 parts water and allow to swell for 15-20 min.
Since psyllium husks form a mucus and line the stomach and intestines with it, medications can no longer be absorbed well. Therefore, please give the psyllium husks with a time delay!
